Can people go live in Israel if they are not Jewish? |
Travel Info Can people go live in Israel if they are not Jewish? Travel Tips I know several non jewish people who currently live in Israel, and they are full citizens. They were made very welcome and adore it there! Israel is a secular country, so it's not as though you would be surrounded by orthodox jews. Of course, you'd have to get used to the fact that if you live in Israel, all the buses and restaurants have to be guarded by security people, because of the risk of Muslim suicide bombers. You'd also have to grow accustomed to being surrounded by all the vast Arab nations that border Israel, and which have sworn to destroy her. That said, Israel is a beautiful and enchanting country. Others YES, of course! You can become a citizen instantly if your mother was Jewish. DUH! Yes! Yes, but not if you are black. My sister lived for quite some time in Israel which facilitated me going to stay and tasting first hand the atmosphere of the place. Travelled all over in a hired car (Tel Aviv was a nightmare) and tried to walk on the sea of Galilea but ended up paddling. Sorry for rambling on...the answers is of course yes you can. Best wishes, Mike. You can't become a citizen if you're not Jewish. NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!!!!!! They would probably shoot you for being a "terrorist" |
