L鈥機haim, not only do you not live up to your name, but you also are taking a defensive stance with AnLoDeah where there is no need for one. What I see that GeorgeG has that you do not is COMPASSION for others. He is not fitting the stereotype of what a typical Jew is, like you think should be the case. SO, it is your own loss that you lack any feelings for anyone other than yourselves. In what religious text does it say to not care for others who are suffering? Maybe his family is fine, as AnLoDeah is concerned, and he and they are now taking their responsibilities to a higher lever than you function at. That is not to be criticized, it should be applauded. Perhaps you feel guilt that you can not operate at that higher level of understanding, perhaps you can not see past your self, in other words, you are selfish, in addition to having no capacity for compassion. You have the problems, which are tough for you, this guy is alright. Others We have enough problems of our own, and besides, you see what happened when Israel let refugees from Jordan in to live...(that's what the palistinians are). Believe me, the Lebanese refugees don't love us any more than than the palistinian ones do. Stop trying to help the whole world, if you're Jewish try first to help your own people. The "refugees" in Lebanon should be Lebanese citizens by now -- or citizens of ANY other Arab country. Why should Israel grant them citizenship when they were traitors who left Israel to fight against them? Most of them are only descendants of those who actually lived in Israel. The U.S. admits refugees from all over the world. Why don't they accept Palestinian "refugees." Or the U.K., or Germany, or Spain, Italy, etc. Why has the world allowed them to languish for decades? Why is the ONLY solution proposed that Israel must forever be responsible for them? Many of them were originally Jordanian, Lebanese, Syrian, etc. They are some of the richest countries on earth -- have they NO responsibility? . Hi George, I agree with you, but I tried reading that link and it shows a lot of news from all the Middle East. Sorry, I didn't understand what you mean about the Lebanon refugees. I don't follow... is it Israel's fault now that refugees in Lebanon are attacking Lebanon? I think that's misplacing the blame a little bit. |
