Will Israel ever find peace? |
Travel Info It's been plagued with wars ever since the making of Jeruslum Travel Tips DOUBT IT Others We won't find peace until the Palestinians come to truely understand its value. When the Israelis elects peace leaders who believe that Palestine has the right to exist too Tabatha. No dear, you need a lot of prayer for that to ever happen. In all the years of my life Israel has never had peace. One Day..!!! Anything is possible. The first issue is that we haven't even defined the concept of "peace". I mean think about it, what is peace? It seems the most common definition is the absence of war/open hostility. I mean Israel and Egypt are technically at peace, but does that mean Israelis feel completely comfortable going to Egypt? Does it mean that Egypt doesn't consider Israel the biggest threat in the Middle East? Obviously not. A peace like that we can achieve, though it seems to be more of a cold deadlock than something to strive for. True peace would be rooted in mutual respect and trust, two lacking elements nowadays. Perhaps someday a true peace like that will exist, but it seems to be far on the horizon if it is there at all. |
