Why the hamas and fatah fighting? |
Travel Info on what issue? what is the root of the conflict??? please no hate, it's intersting , it's similar to the last years of israel before independence(e''tzel - hagana ) . Travel Tips There are no institutions in the Arab world. Hence this is how they fight over power. This is one mad supremacy struggle. Yes, it is similar to the Irgun / Haganah fighting that happened before the decleration of Israel. The Irgun (etzel), however had broken away from the more moderate Haganah. Hamas has not broken away from Fatah. Syrians and Persians are playing their cards in the Iraq, Lebanon, and Palestinian territories. Hamas, backed by Syrians are clashing with Fatah who are more western-backed. Hamas is seizing control of Gaza Strip and bombing Fatah security strongholds, and they appear to be close to controlling gaza strip. Israel pulled back their troops from Gaza in 2005, and now look who Arabs are behaving... You cannot build modern states without institutions. It's just impossible. Others Same reason why the U.S. is over there fighting.. to enforce their way of life onto other. Sad.. instead of a civilize solution we all resorts to violence just to say "I am right and you're wrong." i think you can do some readings in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/fatah... and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/hamas... For power. Since Hamas was voted in, many governments cut off their foreign aid. Fatah is fading and has western support. The pressures which are crushing Lebanon are affecting Palestine, too. I had read recently, over the weekend that Dubai is holding a huge arms sale for the Arab governments and that Saudi Arabia is arming to attack Iran. Power. Each wants control over Palestine... -& the poor, ordinary, palistinan people are caught in the middle. Unfortunately- this may actually end up ENDING the dream of a Palistinian Homeland, instead of advancing it. It's a real tragedy in the making... :( as two other people have already mentioned the answer is Power Hamas and Fatah somehow cannot grasp the fact that in a democracy that opposing political parties debate, legislate, and at times slander one another. Somehow that has translated into shooting each other. Apparently this is the partner that Israel is supposed to negotiate peace with. G-d help us all. Looking at big picture of the Middle East, we can see why there is fighting within the Palestinian groups. Israel master plan for the right to Palestine to exist is to delay any peaceful resolution that will end up with a viable Palestinian state. Israel withdrawal from Gaza was a 1st step toward a Palestinian civil war and to make sure of the civil war they demanded a Palestinian election. Hamas was not ready to lead a political government and Hamas strategy is based on the opposition of the Oslo's agreement. The Israeli knew that Hamas will win the next election because Israel have weaken the Fatah government and most Palestinian will not vote for a weak party. Hamas Vs. Fatah led to Mecca understanding to create a national government where Hamas must honer all the agreement signed by the former governments and leave the negotiation part with Israel to the PLO and any agreement with Israel must be voted on by the entire Palestinian people. This agreement did not go well with the Israeli planers so they started the new stage of attacks on all sides. What is going on in Palestine remind us of what was going on in the old South Africa. We all remember when the South African government called for the Creation of black state for the Zolo and civil war which took place between the native south Africans. Thank God it did not work in South Africa. The Israeli gaza plan is the South African Zolo plan. Did it work in South africa. Why should it work in Palestine? |
