Why are my questions being censored? |
Travel Info Please see under my profile, I have more questions, and I would value your input. Thank you. Travel Tips The man is trying to keep you down...FIGHT THE POWER MY BROTHER!!! Others Seem to have a bit of a one track mind.....ask more general questions unless you just want to wind people up, which many do on here.....still...if thats your thing.....bit of a shame because who knows. there is a bit of a brain in there...you may be able to contribute more...when you get a little more mature you will realise what I'm on about..in the meantime carry on. Well, look at the way you word them and remember young people on here, and old stick in the mud's, try questions that don't upset and you will be fine. I will start to pay keen interest. Otherwise, this is a great advert for your questions i got alot of censored question... dont lose hope...it's all we got ... enjoy some uplifting song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d58qg3ac... Apparently, your questions were found objectionable. EDIT: I see I'm being called out. Very well then. For starters, Jackson is spelled with a "k". Let me also say that I find it amusing that you consider my answer so bereft of value, yet your own doesn't even address the question of the poster. In my defense, this thread is not asking for a peace plan or a long detailed answer; rather it asked a simple question, to which I gave a simple answer. Since you obviously want a more detailed answer pertaining to the current situation, I will give one: Let me start off by saying that unilateralism is a dead policy, the direct consequences thereof are extremism and anarchy. Gaza was a test case, and I believe we can all agree that it did not work out well. Therefore, conclusion #1, any peace deal must be agreed upon with a second party. In order for a peace deal to have any meaning, it must be signed in conjunction with a stable government; a coup for example right after the signing of an agreement effectively nullifies said agreement. Furthermore, the peace agreement must be acceptable to the overwhelming majority of both sides, otherwise it won't be followed. With those two clauses together we arrive at conclusion #2: the second party must be a stable democracy. Those two conclusions together means that Israel must sign a peace agreement with a stable democratic Palestinian government. Obviously said government is non-existent at this point, and that is a shame. Despite that however, it is pivotal that Israel and the West not compromise on those two points; if they do, then in the end it will result in failure. As to the nature of the deal itself, I believe it will be a compromise. I think it both logical and fair to stipulate that the Palestinians will not get all of the West Bank; Israel has a legitimate claim to the land, as do the Palestinians. Therefore, conclusion #3, said deal would have to be a compromise. As to the nature of the countries that would in theory be established, I think it illogical to combine both areas (Gaza and West Bank) into one indivisible entity. No matter how you slice it, any movement from one area to another would involve passing through Israel. Since the areas are geographically isolated, I think it only logical to establish two semi-independent states, which together would comprise the Palestinian entity. Each area would receive a total of half of the joint parliament, while at the same time be run independently by separate ministers. In effect, there would be two Prime Ministers, each one responsible for his own area. If all goes well, then there could even be a direct train that travels from one area to another to allow for easier access while insuring Israel's safety. At this point in time we are no where near this possibility. The Palestinian government is too volatile, and extremism too strong to be on the path of peace. I foresee no potential for change until the next Palestinian election; if instead of a terrorist entity the people choose a more peaceful government, the process can begin. Until then, there's nothing any of us can or should do. Hey Michael J(acson) why don't you actually answer a question? Why don't you come up with a peace plan to end all that George talks about? Why don't you come up with some answers instead of just a few words for 2 points? And for those of you who don't know, you should check all of George's questions, then you will understand his position, he is a good guy, really. |
