Going to Israel in 1 week is it safe? |
Travel Info Hi everyone! I am going to Israel in one weeks time June 29th. Is it safe over there? We will be stopping at Singapore, then on to Athens Greece, then Cario Egypt, then Jerusalem and all the parts around the Bible Lands. Is it safe to travel there? Little worried, leaving in a week, my fiance is especially worried!! We are traveling in a large group! Travel Tips Mazel Tov! Our congregation just returned from two weeks in Israel. Fantastic trip. Israeli tour guides can't be beat! They want tourists and will do everything in their power to give you the trip of a lifetime. The violence you read about is not happening in the areas you'll be visiting. Bon voyage! P.S. If you visit the U.S., you'll want to avoid many cities where random shootings occur on a daily basis. Sorry. We don't issue travel advisories for our cities. . Others if your goiing then I'm pretty sure you have been informed what it's gonna be like and if you will be safe. quit acting dumb your fishing for people to say how crazy you are ect ect., GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guided tours arethe safest way to travel in Israel. Your guides know the area and won't take you anywhere where it is dangerous. Compared to this the danger for an independent traveller is greater - he or she will likely not understand Hebrew, thus won't know about any dangers. The security situation in Israel has the habit of changing every day - it is a very good idea to have a local guide. congrats on going. Israel is very safe place to visit just be careful of not going to any parts of gaza strip. Ask around most speak english well. I would suggest going with a controlled tour to see the wonderful sites. Enjoy the mother land. If your going in a guided tour then you have nothing to worry about. They will make sure to point out the areas which are safe and which you should not go. Yes, it's safe, especially if you are in a large group. It is extremely unlikely for anything to happen where the typical tours go, and your guides will be aware of any particular alerts that are circulating, and would not take you if they thought it was dangerous. (It's very bad business when tourists get blown up. Ask the Egyptians.) You will not go anywhere near Gaza, which is where most of the violence in the region is currently going on. My daughter just landed in Israel a few hours ago. She is there for 5 weeks. I would not let her go if I felt it was too dangerous. I wish I could get off work and join her! |
