Best Surf Instructor/School & Lux Rooms in Mexico?

Travel Info
My boyfriend and I would like to take a quick trip to Mexico. He's an experienced surfer. I'm a complete novice. We want a spot that 1. Is a fairly quick/easy trip from Los Angeles. 2. Is near or has access to a great surf school or great instructors 3. Great accomodations (no TV or spa necessary but very private, romantic, good service, good food, and QUIET). We don't care about nightlife and we don't want a place swamped by people partying. Any recommendations?

Travel Tips
You can go to Baja California, Huatulco in Oaxaca (it is very cheap there) or the Mayan Riviera (Cancun)...surfing is not a superthing but if you are a novice that will do.

If you go to the Mayan Riviera you will find lovely romantic hotels that are not party related, try Akumal or Tankah.

In Oaxaca you can go to Tangolunga or Zepolite nude beaches (these are the famous ones and very private), there are lovely b&b麓s in Huatulco that will accomodate your budget.

I hope this is helpful, either way...Welcome to Mexico!!!
