Travel Info Which country is better between Guyana or Jamaica? Travel Tips I would say Jamaica =) Others since guyana is pretty much a steamy, mosquito infested, swamp hellhole, i would have to say jamaica. Since I am Jamaican I am going to be biased and say Jamaica.I love my country so much. I have been to both places, Jamaican people are very frindly,nice people to be with. Jamaica is far better, north coast perfect. jamaica its beautiful the most beautiful carribean island im from It's quite a strenuous task to compare countries as each place has its own charm and appeal, just like any human being... Guyana would obviously strike to most people as been as shoddier when compared to the more alluring Jamaica... Guyana (Amerindian for "Many Waters"): 1) Vast Rainforests 2)Millions of streams, creeks, rivers, lakes and waterfalls 3)80% of the country is covered in virgin forests. 4)Over 70% of the natural habitat is pristine. All in all, Guyana is a much more alluring destination for eco-tourists, than the more indistrialised Jamaica... Jamaica would strike me as being the more party themed of the two... If you're looking to have a night on the town or have a knees-up, then Jamaica is the place for you... If you're more eco-allied, then Guyana would make your wildest dreams come true!!! Hence, it all narrows down to what you really want out of your vacation and what you would like to bring back home... |
