Mexico or Jamaica? Riu Hotels or Palace hotels? Which is best for honeymoon? |
Travel Info Me and my partner get married in 11 weeks, and we are going to be honeymooning in early November. I want to go to the Moon Palace Hotel in Cancun Mexico, and he wants to go to the Riu Tropical bay in Negril, Jamaica. Which is the better country to go? And Which is the best hotel to go to? (there are Riu and Palace hotels in both countries) I'd love to know what you think to help us make our decision. Many Thanks Travel Tips Oh Boy, to bad you can't take a week in Jamaica and a week in Mexico. Wouldn't that be nice. Both are getting good reviews on trip advisor. I stayed at Moon Palace and really liked the whole resort, the pool, the food and the staff were all so nice. The only negative here was the beach water, it has much seaweed. They are cleaning the beach constantly but that sea weed keeps coming back. The beach (sand) is very nice. Very clean resort. Moon Palace is a 4 star resort. I have never stayed at Riu Tropical Bay. But the reviews are excellent. It looks nice. Negril beaches are very beautiful. Riu Tropical is rated a 3 star. Go to trip advisor and read the reviews and see which resort is for you. http://www.tripadvisor.com click on Mexico and than Cancun for Moon Palace. Click on Caribbean than Jamaica for Riu Hotels in Jamaica Good Luck. I hope this helps a little. Personally, I think there is more to do off the resort in Mexico s Others RIU Palace resorts are amazing but for your honeymoon I would say Moon Palace is a good choice, my husband and I haven't been able to go on our honeymoon yet as we are both working too much we are planning right now but are heading towards the Bahamas or Bora Bora. For the Moon Palace or any of the Palace resorts, Aventura, Xpu - Ha, Sun , Cancun, Beach, etc are all wonderful. I love their rooms, they have a 2 person Jacuzzi!! Good luck =) ive been to the Moon Palace Hotel and its great and Cancun is beautiful i say Cancun. but whereever you go have lots of fun both of the destinations are very nice. the best one is on mexico, but go to puerto vallarta, they have riu jaliscu there i promise the location, is beautiful, mountains one side, beautiful sea the next, when i was there, there were a few weddings, they were beautiful and the honeymoon suites are rumoured to be extraodinary, the entertainment staff were brilliant We went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and would recommend it as a must! I've never been to Mexico, but people I know who have been had a fabulous time there. I'm sorry I don't know the holtels you speak of, but we visited Negril (we stayed in Montego Bay) and it was beautifull! There is so much to do in Jamaica, climbing up the waterfall, seeing the crocodiles, romantic rafting down the river and reggae nights. You'll have a fantastic time in either location sun, sea, sand, and of course it IS your honeymoon after all!!! You'll come to an agreement eventually, it's just yet another thing for you to disagree on before the big day! Good luck with the wedding and all the best for your future together. Was in Mexico in December with my partner, stayed in the Riu Caribe...was the best hotel ever, would defo recommend the Riu Caribe....was further in the centre of Cancun. It was my 21st when we were there, and the hotel staff couldnt have been any nicer....champagne, balloons, birthday card t the room!! I loved it, we went swimming with dolphins, drove our own speed boat...which was all across the road from our hotel. About a 5 min taxi from the centre of cancun....coco bongos, hard rock cafe, shopping centres etc.....it was amazing and I cant wait to go back xx Well hands down Jamaica. I have been to Riu and loved it however my I recommend Grand Lido Negril it is a place out of this world or checkout www.superclubs.com Where ever you go enjoy yourself and congrats |
