Weather in Jamaica?

What is the weather like in Montego Bay from Cristmas until New Years? I've been there before in April, and there was quite afew thunderstorms late in the afternoon. Will Dec be the same way? My daughter is planning on getting married and wanted the 4:00p.m. time.

The weather in December is a little cooler for one,day time temps are influenced by,northers,or frontal tale end which traverse the north western Caribbean, produces a disturbance,some times its cool clear and sunny all day,with temperature in the low 80s F, to mid,and nights dipping mid to high 70s F, on the northern coast,southern section experience temps are 1c degree higher.
Higher elevations give temps like 49- 55- 65s F,( 16c-25 Celsius) these temps are found in upper reaches of the island,Eg; Manchester and in the Blue Mountains.
before a front passes through chances of rain are very high,as there is abundant moisture,this some times causes flash flooding and 2 3 days of rain at times heavy,but after its clear cool and some really aw some sunsets and clear nights for star gazing,trust me i know.
But apart from Dec,January leading up to Feb will mostly be dry with scattered early morning showers,expect rumble of thunder now and and then,but not much.
Some time it really gets windy,but this is a phenomena called Chrismas Breeze,by us locals.
This is and average observation that i personally have made,as i live in Montego Bay.
Its in the summer months in early may through to November that you really get the thunder storms going in mid day to afternoon,November through to April is very dry,especially in March. Source(s): Personal Experience.

Other Travel Tips

It is about the same all yr. mid - upper 80's. It is usually sunny in the day & many evenings have quick thunderstorms. Atleast no hurricanes at that time. Officially, hurricane season stretches from June 1st to November 30th.
Weather is unpredictable. You can go by previous weather history but it's not a sure thing. I do know that the caribbean has rain showers all months of the year but they move away quickly.
