im staying at point village resort soon. I see theres lots of coral in the water, is it sharp? and should i buy water shoes to aviod cutting my feet, or is it sandy and need not bother?

Yes, use protection. It is very sharp and could cause extreme damage to your feet. I would suggest the 150lb, acme weighted water boots. They offer 2" of solid steel for the sole which should prevent any penetration of coral. Good luck Bro. and make sure you have a long snorkel.
