Travel Info What are 3 do's and 3 taboo's in Jamaica? any answers are appreciated Travel Tips 3 do's get stoned eat rice and peas drink rum 3 taboos homosexuality civil obedience igloos Others do stay in the resort..... don't leave without your tour guide Don't ask, "Hey, where's the ganga, mon!" You'll probably get your ribs kicked in. Do ask about the cuisine. Do ask about the beaches. Do ask about the people. do's have fun dress sparingly (very hot but awsome breeze) leanr to like red stripe beer(it is all they have in most of the country) don'ts give money to strangers walk around town alone dont forget some cash becasue if you want it..they got it I was in Jamaica a few years ago and it seems to me that most things go. I was at a very nice resort and they let us dance on the bar take our sun loungers into the bar so we could lie down and drink. Red Stripe is awesome :-) Don'ts: If you smoke - don't get caught I don't think they like homesexuals Don't walk around alone outside the resorts do's .. have fun, talk to people, taboo's.. gay lifestyle is not openly acceptable ....learn some of their sayings and what i means before you go.. there are some sites that will tell you their meaning.. some things sound funny/silly to us but down there you say it to someone it could seriously mean ur life.. one of the worst things to say!!!!!! is g'won suck ya mama or g'won suck ya self.. very very very bad to say down there !!! just really try and get the lingo down pat before you go.. Do have lots of protected sex Do see ,speak,hear, no evil DO HAVE LOTS OF FUN Do not engage in homosexual activity Do not be caught smoking ganja Do not pretend to be filthy rich |
