Travel Info What is the average air temperature and the water temperature in Jamaica during mid July? Travel Tips I would say 80-90 for the air temp, it is humid but not extremly the ocean has a nice breeze. July is part of the rainy season so plan on 10-15 minutes showers in the afternoon, everyday. THe water is nice not to warm just below bath water temps depending on how deep! I went in mid-july last year and was not bothered by the heat and I don't like heat or humidity and I was fine! Hot days-Cold Nights 80-90 50-60 My sister is depending on the parish mostly (in degrees celcius) 30-35 Air temperature is ususally HOT, extremely humid but not as bad as summer in the USA. The water temperature (beaches) however is a bit different, it goes from luke warm to warm during the day and cold in the night. Myself(the beach in my backyard) Well they are consistent with were you locate to,for St Elizabeth in the south central west of the island temp are going to be hotter especial for places like Nain and other areas along the plains,because moisture from the north east trade winds dose not really have an effect,especially in Kingston with all the concrete you can think of,temps can go as high as 35, and even surpass the 37 degree Celsius in some localities/93-96 F degree. On the north coast its just by a few degree less due to north east trade winds effect,temp averages at 32 33/90 91F, and 34 to 35/93/94, in some years in Montago bay. But in comparison to north America Air temp dose not have that blow dryer effect,it may feel warm,in direct sunshine,but if you go into the shade it feel like 30 degree fluctuating,with the wind. Water temps will around 79-86 F/29 degree celcius,one thing you can look out for is some time heavey thunder storms due to convectional heating,in the afternoon. |
