I am a permanent resident of Florida and I plan to travel to Jamaica. Do I need my green card to travel? |

Travel Tips I don't know that you would need your green card to leave the US, but I'd bet a ton you'd need it to get back in. Check with a travel agent. They have to be up on all that. You will need a passport along with your green card for entry to Jamaica You need your passport and your green card. They check both when you go through customs. You might have a problem getting back into the US without your green card but you probably won't have a problem going because they are stricker when entering the country than leaving. as was said you can leave but not get back w/o your Green Card! Don't take the chance of saying, "well I'll come back as a tourist and straighten it out later"...you will seriously jeopardize your status here |
