Other Travel Tips U.S. citizens traveling to the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and Bermuda who have applied for but not yet received passports can nevertheless temporarily enter and depart from the United States by air with a government issued photo identification and Department of State official proof of application for a passport through September 30, 2007. Jamaica Tourist Board I have a friend who is an Immigration Officer out here, you definitely need a passport to enter the island and you'll need one to re-enter the US. Good luck! No you don't need a passport, the government is now giving you until mid next year to get one. I have friends that will be traveling with me this summer to Jamaica and we have called everyone Jamaican and US Government. NO YOU DONT....I JUST CAME BACK THIS APRIL..... All i travelled with was my Canadian birth certificate and Drivers licence |
