Good place for vacay in Japan?

Im looking for somewhere in Japan thats nice and warm during the months of oct, dec or jan. Preferably a resort, maybe a beach? Any ideas or recomendations?

The only place would be Okinawa, but even then its not that warm. You are planning a trip during winter so your not going to find summer weather.

October shouldn't be too bad as its not that far into fall, you could easily get away with shorts during early October.

November it gets a bit cooler, on my trip, I wore shorts one time down in Osaka, but it was too cold the rest of the time.

December/January its pretty much winter, even in the United states, you don't go in the water in the wintertime, its just too cold. The only place you could be warm and cozy in Japan would be in an Onsen (Spa world in Osaka was great) or maybe a place like:

which is a year round indoor beach.
Like already mentioned, Okinawa is warm and has many beaches.

If you want city life, you can try Kyushu island, the southernmost of the main islands. It probably won't be warm but warmer than most of Japan. There probably won't be snow there. Fukuoka is a nice city. There is a lot to do and some islands you can take a ferry to are nearby.
