Should Japan accept a lot of immigrants?

If i was a leader in Japan i would not let alot of immigrants in because it is already so over populated. It will just turn out to be a problem in the long run and they will have to move back to where they came from or immigrate somewhere else
I don't think Japan should loosen its immigration laws. The Japanese identity is heavily reliant upon the fact that Japan is Japanese. If Japan allowed many immigrants to enter, they would lose their cultural identity and I support cultural preservation. Japan was not founded on the same principles as the United States, so they have no obligation to accept more immigrants.
A big no because Japan is already overcrowded therefore Japan must not raise their population and needs tokeep it stable.
Disagree not because it is overcrowded! It is their identity that they need to preserve! Not long ago, Japan is really and truly one of the most safest country and law abiding citizens in the world but somehow it is deterorating now! Why?
So, if Japan started accepting immigrants (u cant be prejudice by only accepting certain countries, rite?) there are many consequences Japan need to pre-forecast ie religion obligation, demand on special law, "not so obedient" new residents and etc etc
Japan is not over crowded, China is over crowded. Japans population will drop by 25% in the next 20 years due to lack of high birth rate. It will need immigration to help it's economoy. Japan will need around 300 000 imigrants every year to help keep it's numbers. However who do they let in? How do they preserve their culture? I think Japan is looking very closely to the mistakes Britain, America and Australia have made with immigration. Education and cultural history must be taken into account. You don't want cultures with poor education and high levels of violence or war populating your country. Some people would see this a racism but it's not, any country has a right to choose who populates it and how they administer policy. I always read lots of people moaning on Japan Times (usually Americans) about Japan and the solution is simple leave or don't go there if you don't like it. You wouldn't carry on so much if you were in Iraq would you? You would leave (which America should do!)! The west has never got immigration right, look at all of the race riots around the world, how can we dictate what Japan should do? I'm glad they are taking their time in reaching a decision, it will be a very well thought out policy.
