Almost every Japanese person will insist that Japan is a special place because it has 4 seasons, and will actually ask foreigners "Does your country have 4 seasons?"

The ironic thing is, there's also rainy season in June and early July, so Japan actually has 5 "seasons"

Aside from that, Japan is the same length and about same latitude as the East Coast of the US, with roughly the same range of weather, but the main cities are in the warmer areas instead of the cooler areas (DC, NYC) like the US.

At the moment there's a bit of a Nip On . . . .
well it really depends on the exact location and elevation. the farther south the warmer, the higher the colder for the most part. you could go to weather.com and search some cities you know. such as tokyo or hashimoto. or motorola (jk). but yea check out weather.com and google it theres a lot of info on weather in japan. good luck.
Colder in the NI (North Island) Hokkaido, temperate in the mid Island (Honshu), and usually hotter in the southern islands, Shikoku and Kyushu. I've travelled all around Japan.
during the winter, its pretty cold there and rains quite often. So you would need like a jacket and like a scarf.

during the summer, its hot and sticky.
