Where do I see the sights of Kyoto?

Travel Info
I'll go to Kyoto next week. Please tell me that you recommend something.

Travel Tips
If you want to take a wicked cool daytrip, check out Mount Koya. It's one of the holiest places in Japan, and it's totally covered in temples. Best of all, you can do a temple stay and spend the night in a traditional room at one of the temples! If you can't make it to Koya, you can still do a temple stay in several places around Kyoto- Lonely Planet has some information, I believe.
Others
You should go see Kiyomizu Dera, it's a very famous temple, and was actually nominated for the New Seven Wonders of the World. It also has lots of shops lining the way to the temple.
My personal favorite is Kinkakuji an Ginkakuji. They are just incredible sites. For an amature photographer like myself that is a photo-rich environment. Here are some sites that might help you plan your visit.

If you have time, you can visit Uji (15 min by train from Kyoto), with its famous Byodoin and the green tea!http://hananoen.city.uji.kyoto.jp/en/spo...
