If i take Aus$800 to japan for 3days including Hotel, food and buy something, would be enough?

Aus$800 is around 楼70,000. the big unknown is the hotel; you can spend as little as 楼4,000 per night and as much as 楼40,000. a typical japanese business hotel in tokyo will run you around 楼8,000 per night, with a western style hotel (bigger rooms with english speaking staff) starting at 楼17,000 per night.

food will run you between 楼500 - 楼1000 for a typical meal. getting around will be by train. again, assuming you'll be in tokyo the whole time, you'll spend 楼150 - 楼750 for most fairs (each way). there are special passes for visitors for the trains. here's the website in english:

you can take taxis, but they're expensive. buses can be confusing, unless you can read japanese.

after these necessities, you should have plenty for buying stuff, depending upon what you want to buy.

this is based on you staying in tokyo. other places will have varying prices. enjoy the trip. i've been living here for 10 months and love it.
