Travel Info i am planning on moving there after finishing university, but i don't know much about the contry it self, i would love to know more about places, or cultures/traditions. and iv heard its cheaper to get places on the outskirts of tokyo if u want to live around there. any information on anything would be cool, Travel Tips Just so you know, you have to have a job lined up when you move to japan, or be a student. You have to have a visa that will allow you to stay there extened amounts of time, or else youre subject to visitor timelines. You can't just move to Japan. Kinda sucks. Anyway, yea youre probably better off living in the outskirts of Tokyo unless you have an employer that takes care of your housing situations. Others I visited Tokyo very briefly during one of my deployments. I thought it was absolutely amazing. The lifestyle is very fast and in the city it was very expensive. japan is a cool place to move to. but they have this thing with foreigners living and working in their country they will sometimes seclude you. yes its cheaper to live ont heoutskirts of tokyo. but transportation will be a hassel if you work in tokyo. Yes, it is true that the outskirts are cheaper. However, if you get a job, the company will probably subsidize your rent. That is what it was like for me. I had a job and my company had an apartment set up. Since it is so expensive, they capped it out at 50,000 yen (some cap the rent at 60,000). Don't worry about it. You'll be able to live comfortably. www.gaijinpot.com Why would you want to move to a country you know nothing about ? You can't just move there. Unless you are already a very rich person. It's not like the US, they have laws there. How about Thailand ? Most jobs require that you have a BA / BS degree. Please read your own post and look at all the mistakes. I'm not saying it to be mean, but it's something that you can work on.A tourist visa is only good for 90 days. A work visa requires you to have a job waiting for you. NOTHING is cheap in Japan. Unless you go to a 100 yen store... What you have to remember is Japan is not like the US or other western countries. East Asia including Japan is rather mono culture. They don't take racial diversity is for granted. Japan is homogeneous nation. Most ppl don't speak English. You should get a job in Japan and working permit. Then you can move to Japan. |
