I would like to go on holiday to Tokyo and was wondering any cheap hotel flight etc.? |
Travel Info I have always dreamed of going to Tokyo and has already conquered most of Europe (eventhough I am 14). I have a family of 4: Dad, Mum, myself and my 15 year old sister. I want to visit the technology capital and truely experience Japanese culture. I would like to also know about weather, what is the best time to go, any favoured areas in Japan, where are the huge shopping areas and how cheap are electronics/clothes, car rental etc. Thanks! Travel Tips Spring and autumn are the best times to visit, but the air fares and hotel prices are higher then. Business hotels and hostels are your best bet, but you'll really need to book far in advance. As for hiring a car, forget it. You can't park anywhere and most roads outside cities are toll roads - you pay as you go. Petrol is expensive as it's highly taxed. Public transport is brilliant and Tokyo has a very good tube system. Use it. May I suggest going to Japan and visiting only Tokyo is a waste of time and money. The Kansai region has Kyoto, Nara, Himeji, Osaka and Kobe all of which have a rich cultural history. Source(s): Live in Kansai. Other Travel Tips try e-bookers .com No such thing as cheap in Japan...Except for a 100 yen store. Take my word for it, "cheap hotel" and "Tokyo" don't belong in the same sentence. Car rental would be out of the question. Electronics are expensive, it's cheaper to buy them where you are. I love Japan in the Fall, although it can be rainy. Tokyo in the Summer is hot and humid. you should check JAL's website.they always have cheap flights to and from japan. the weather in the winter is pretty cold. you should need a jacket and a scarf to keep warm. the weather in the summer is disgustingly humid. its bareable. but still pretty nasty. favorite areas have to be mt. fuji. its soo nice there! electronic street. there aer soo many new electronics there! I love just looking at all the new stuff. shoppin gin japan is pretty expensive. its probably more than if you were to buy something in america. but it might be considered cheap to you since the pound is like twice the american dollar. I always suggest orbitz.com for flights. Sometimes a hotel deal thrown in makes it cheaper. Or, for hotels, check this site as I think it's the best on the web: http://www.hotelscombined.com?a_aid=781b... |
