Travel Tips First hand let me tell you okinawa is the best place on the earth! lol i live there now. you should go to places like expo park, Neo park, pineapple park, shuri caslte, ryukyu village, Zanpa lighthouse, mihama american village (great shopping area with a beach, hotels and ferris wheel), try foods like go-ya, all kinds of fish like ka-e and gurukun, snorkling and glass boating is fun. any more questions let me know! good luck and have fun :) omoshiroi koto ga ippai arimasu yo~~ Others Snorkling and scuba are great in oki. Yakisoba is a great food served on the island. Fishing and watching the japanese fisherman. There are numerous temples and old war sites to visit. Have a great trip! explore the city, try sushi,sashimi,soba,udon,ramen,... scuba diving,visit the temples,try their sento or spa. take lots of pictures. been there done that Expo Park and Churaumi Aquarium are popular destinations. I particularly enjoyed the landscaping of Nakijin Castle. However, the more traditional Japanese castle experience can be found at Shuri Castle. You can take the monorail in Naha to Shuri which makes for a fun trip, but a little bit of walking. In the same area is Nakamura House where they have some great tea. Ryukyu Mura, Southeast Botanical Gardens, and Futenma Shrine make for fun excursions. Plus, Kokusai St is a popular shopping destination! These are a few places on the island.
