Cans someone tell me about Narita Int. Airport? |
Travel Info I have a 3 hour layover there on Friday on my way to Manila. Im wondering how easy it will be to get around for a guy from the usa. Also if I have to change terminals, or want to catch a shower, is that difficult? I have been online, but I'd like to hear from the prospective of other travelers.... thanks! Travel Tips Narita is a great airport and you'll be able to enjoy it definetly. First off...I'd suggest checking out their website at http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/... and you can check all the amenities they have. Now...since you haven't told us what airline you are using to fly...Ima assume that you are flying on a Northwest Airlines flight and you'll arrive into Terminal 1. Terminal 1 has showers/daybeds for rent, and if you are looking for a small food court and some nice high class duty free...head down to Narita Nakamise. Also around there are some nice Japanese souvenier and foodstuffs to buy before leaving. Remember no liquids allowed (subject to change). A bus shuttle does run between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. You can find it at gates 28 and 59 in Terminal 1, and at gate 60 in terminal 2. And as for any worries about getting round the place...dont...all signs are in English and Japanese and follow a logical order. Plus, grab a purple guidebook that will give you maps, and everything you need to know bout the amenities available for your layover. And believe me...3 hrs is very short over there. Have a nice trip! Source(s): http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/... http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/in... http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/se... http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/re... http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/du... http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/co... Other Travel Tips Don't worry, they have English signage all over the airport so you're not going to get lost. There are rest and shower rooms you can rent by the hour, but I don't know what the price for those is. There is also a shuttle that can take you from one terminal to another. Again, this is listed in English as well as Japanese. Just find out which terminal you need to be in and follow the signs. |
