Snow holiday in japan?

Travel Info
I really need some help guys!! Im planning a holiday to japan next feb with my partner.. His idea of a holidays is snow boarding the whole time (which he did in niseko at the start of this year and had a ball!!) but my idea of a holiday is relax on the beach and see the sights.. Ive always wanted to visit japan to see the sights of tokyo and kyoto and while doing me research i found out that there a snow field not too far from there in hakuba and norawa onsen.. If we were to stay in the ski resorts there will he be disapointed since niesko and furano get all the great reviews!! please help me.. If my partner and I can agree on a holiday together it would be a miracle!!!! lol!

Travel Tips
You may not be able to relax on the beach because it is very cold and no one go to beach during that moment.
If you would like the best place for snowboarding I would recommend you Sapporo, Hokkaido. Sapporo is very well-known for skiing and the Olympics was held at there. You can expand your vacation days in Japan by visiting both Tokyo and Hokkaido so it would not be unfair for any of you. You can see the sights of Tokyo and Kyoto while your partner can enjoy snowboarding in Sapporo.
Others
I'd say it's your turn to choose the vacation. Fair is Fair.
It depends how long you plan on being there, I would suggest staying in tokyo, or outside of it a little bit, and take a day trip out to a snow resort for a day. Maybe even stay the night. It may be a lot of traveling, but if you had a really good time last time you were there, then I'm sure you can figure out if it is worth it or not. I love Japan so much, I hope this helps a little and you have a great time!
expierence
When it comes to skiing, Hokkaido is just the best! I recommend you to go there again and spend a few days after that in Tokyo then take the train to Kyoto! With the global warming problem, not much snow was found in Honshu this winter whilst in Hokkaido you can always be sure that there will be snow! Why don't you go to Sapporo or Otaru whilst in Hokkaido, plenty of museums and cultural things there!
This is a good site for ski resorts and vacation packages for skiers. Check it out, maybe you can make you both happy... haha
