Sailing in japan?

i am in the military and will be leaving in july for camp zama japan for 3 years, my 3 favorite things are sailing tennis and skiing (snow), are there any marinas nearby with sailboats i can rent or buy?

I think there is a USN sailing club at Yokusuka, I don't know if army people are allowed to use it or not. In any case Zama is handy enough to Kamakura that you will be able to sail. I suppose you could buy a Laser, etc. when you arrive, keep it in a rack at one of the sailing clubs, and then sell it when you leave.

Alternatively you could look to be crew on a larger vessel for weekend races/just messing about. The J24 fleet at Kamakura is large and active, and there are also other OD fleets and handicap racing as well. There are crew lists on the internet for boats owned by expats as well as locals who are seeking an international crew. Just like anywhere else, there is always demand for "rail meat".
