What:s the difference betewen a DS Lite bought in Japan and a DS Lite bought in the USA?? |
Travel Info I:m currently in Akihabara for the next day or so and I want to know if I should buy a Nintendo DS Lite sold here (not the overseas version). From what my friends tell me, there is no difference in the models other than the manuals being in Japanese and such. My friends say that I can buy this model and just set the language to English but I don:t know if that:s true. I do know for sure that they are not region locked. Any help? Travel Tips I think you could do that (buy a DS Lite in Japan and just change the language to English; the U.S. version has an option to change the language into French, German, Italian, and, yes, Japanese. The only difference that I could tell you is Japanese DS Lites have a more variety of colors to choose from. U.S. DS Lites are only available in 3 as of now: Onyx, White, and Pink. Japanese DS Lites are available in 5: Onyx, White, Pink, a Green-Blue color, and a very dark blue that you'd mistaken for black. Not to mention that special editions can only be bought in Japan, I read that there is a limited edition gold-colored DS Lite only sold in Japan. Others one's japanese and one's american? i'm not really sure about the ds lite, but alot of games are made only for one version, meaning that if you have the japanese one and get an american game it won't work. |
