ALMOST...(*^o^*) Others Try the Ginza district. Or Daiei. CYN has the answer...Uniqulo all the way! There are also places like Uniqulo opening up all over the place! Yes, UNIQLO! I love it and I do shop there whenever I have a chance to go to Japan. You can also check clothings at the discount store. They are everywhere. But, I like the simple clothings and the price at UNIQLO and also Mujirushi(MUJI in U.S.). Both have stores in New York, by the way. Everyone is jumping on the UNIQLO bandwagon and I have to admit they're right. The clothes are cheap but of good quality. One word of warning however, if you're of the X-tra large variety then you have little chance of finding something there that fits properly. The clothes are designed for the Japanese frame with is smaller than the North American or European type person. When I buy a shirt there in the largest size they have, then it barely fits properly. The length is good, the sleeves are just barely long enough, I can just button up the collar if necessary but my shoulders are too big. I can get away with it for a t-shirt for the most part, but the rest of them wind up looking a little funny. So any dress shirts I get need to be shipped from back home, from a big & tall store or I find a place that sells larger sizes. Shorts are no issue, I can wear those without a problem, same goes for pants. Shoes are hit and miss. Some places carry larger sizes, some don't. |
