Schools /Company's that Sponsor Working Visa's for British Teachers? |
Travel Info I recently returned to the UK because my mother was ill after working two years in Japan. I want to return to Japan at the start of 2008 (March/April-although I am flexiable) but I having trouble finding companies that will sponser me had 7 replies from International Schools & Kindergartens saying they would be interested in employing me but do not do sponsorship (only renewal of working visas) How can I get back in the country without sponsorship for a working visa ??? Do you know of schools (small or mid-sized) or Kindergartens that employer English Teachers and offers visa sponsorshop please. I know all about the BIG organizatons Nova, EEC, Berlitz etc I am NOT interested working for these I have already been to interviews with two and they are not what I do I teach smaller children in a fun active enviroment (I'm not intrested in image over teaching) & I'm not interested in the JET program. Please can anyone help I've bled the internet dry :( Travel Tips Like the others said NOVA is about to get done over and about time, so i think maybe the competition for jobs will become even harder with many already sponsored teachers applying for jobs. basically you have come at a bad time. But im sure you know that. Hmm not sure if you know of gaijinpot.com but they have loads of jobs on there and last time i checked the employers also said if they were willing to sponsor...so at least you'd know off the bat if they would or wouldnt without wasting time applying. Another option is marriage lol Well not sure if i helped but goodluck anyway and i respect your way of thinking or should i say your approach to teaching, its refreshing to know there are still decent people going to Japan for the right reasons ;o) Oh not sure if this will help either but on Japan-zone.com they have a forum and maybe jobs section. but on the forum there are a few teachers who are still working there that might be able to shed some light or offer some ideas that might become useful. Not sure it will turn up much but if you have tried everything else on the net its worth ago. Others Small schools don't have money for such sponsorship, but there are many advertisements from private universities. If you are interested on this, here's a list. http://www.osaka-kyoiku.ac.jp/educ/univ_... And this link might be of help too http://www.shidaikyo.or.jp/index.html... The only problem is that they require at least Master degree. They pay well, though. Experience Nova is in BIG trouble anyway, don't touch them. As the previous poster said, most small schools can't afford to sponsor you, most adverts ask for someone who already had a correct visa. Unless you do have the appropriate Masters, you will have to bite the bullet and go with EEC or someone to get a visa. Yea, NOVA have got big problem today.
