Work in Japan? |
Travel Info I want to move to Japan and get a job, i also want to move there what do i need to move there and to get a job, if you know any websites that can help with this tell me please Travel Tips You'll probably need at least a ba. Most jobs require it. First look for a job online. www.gaijinpot.com If you are hired, the company will send you info to take to the Japanese Embassy. They'll process your paperwork, give you a visa and you can then go to Japan. Others I think you will just need a VISA for your passport. Also, I've done some reading about the Asian business culture and you should do some research about government interference prior to setting up residence there. I've discovered that there is a lot of government influence when it comes to living and working over there. If you are interested in teaching English, there is a lot of work available. I would recommend you go to the webpages below and read the information there. http://www.geocities.com/allhou/japan.ht... http://www.ohayosensei.com/ http://thejapanfaq.cjb.net/ To get a job in Japan you need the proper visa. The most common is the work visa, for this you will require a minimum 4 year degree as well as the necessary paperwork. The only way around this would be 10 years documented service in a specific recognised field. If you don't have either of these then you're not getting a work visa. If your country supports it, you might be able to come on a working holiday visa which allows you to work for the time the visa is valid. The only other visa that will allow you to work, unless it's a specific visa like a humanities or cultural visa is a spousal visa. Get married to a Japanese national and you're in. For more information, check out the official website at:http://210.163.22.165/j_info/visit/visa/... Now that you have the visa, you need a job. Unless you speak Japanese your choices are limited as most jobs require some level of Japanese fluency. The most popular job would be English teacher but there are varying degrees of enjoyment from this position. Some say it's great, others say it's one step above slitting your wrists. I would say it's up to you to decide that. Your only other option is to target the foreign type companies and see if there's something there that you qualify for. This is a longshot and you really need to be lucky to get them. But it is possible. 3 years working IT in a foreign company in Tokyo. No Japanese skills required. The easiest way to find a job is to teach english - just google it and you'll find heaps of different teaching companies or schools. You also need to get a visa - when looking for a job find a company that will sponsor your visa, once you've accepted the job they will help you with all the necessary paperwork. You will also need a bachelor degree (any discipline) to meet the Japanese government's visa requirements. Some companies will offer you furnished accommodation and may even pay your return airfares to Japan, so remember to ask about this when looking for work. Japanese customs like you to have a return airfare when you enter Japan as evidence that you aren't planning to stay... |
