I am going to Tokyo on business in September and I have a week free on my own to travel around. Where should I go, and what should I do?

find a hotel in lake kawaguchiku that overlook the magnificient mount fuji.... it got a great view. and it its the first time u are visiting there, u cld just tour around the famous places like shinjuku, shibuya, asakusa, ueno, roppongi, akiharbara and etc

If you want to know the standard of Japan, visit Nagoya. From Tokyo it take 1 hour and 40 minutes by JR Shikansen (the fare is about 10,000yen). I'm making my blog for traveler in Japan. Please browes it.
