Travel Tips
I'm not sure about longevity - as others have said, healthy overall lifestyle is more important. But green tea is certainly good for health because of the antioxidants and Vitamin C it contains.

Be careful, though, it's also full of caffeine. If you are not used to it, it can really keep you up for hours.

When you make green tea, do NOT use boiling water. The water has to be boiled first, then cooled down to 70 - 80C. (When the water is too hot, the tea turns out yellowish and bitter.) We do this by pouring the boiling water into an empty pot, then transfer it to the cup, put tea leaves into the pot and put the water back from the cup. Brew for 1 - 2 mins. Do not add sugar or milk.

The lower the temperature of water, the sweeter and less bitter the tea turns out, though it takes longer to brew. Wait till the dry leaves absorb water and open up. You can even use cold water, in which case jut leave the pot in the frige for an hour or two. Source(s): Me, born and raised in a tea-producing region.
Other Travel Tips
Yes. Green tea is full of antioxidants that neutralize free radicals in the body and prevent cancer. Also green tea can increase your metabolism. Its best when you make it yourself.
In the UK, you can buy Green Tea in any supermarket. I'm not sure about the US but it must be similar. It's great stuff but the whole Japanese diet makes them live longer: fresh everything, lots of oily fish and very little meat. Green tea is not the answer to longevity.
Yes.

You can buy it in asian supermarkets.

Make sure the teas are come from Japan or less polluted countries. You see what I mean?
An Asian supermarket will be your best bet as the selection will be bigger. But your regular neighborhood market should also have it. Green tea is popular in most of Asia. Sorry, it won't make you live longer. But if you eat right and exercise you may...
Carl is right..it is not the answer for having a long life, balance diet, exercise, avoid alcohol and smoking...
Japanese drinks lot of green tea but some of them will smoke and drink alcohol too, but those who avoid these stuffs would surely live longer.
But green tea is better than other tea...
green tea is getting popular anywhere,,ask any grocery stores or places they would tell you..ask the manager,
