Do japanese like tourist?

Travel Info
I was watching a video and some of the stuff I have seen kinda disturbed me. I saw store signs that said japanese only on hotels, restaurants, and retail stores. What kind of society segregates thier business to only one race.

I mean I can understand if people dont like you but a business denying you because of your race? What other kinds of things are there that are not tourist friendly?

Travel Tips
There are places in Japan that do only allow Japanese to enter, but there are not many. Actual tourist destinations are all open to whomever wants to go there.

Japan is not a society built on immigrants. Seeing a sign that said that in America would definitely be racist, but Japan is Japanese, so it's not seen in the same way (except by some foreigners). Actually, immigrating to Japan is difficult, because Japan does want to remain as homogenous as possible, but they do not dislike foreigners. They are actually very interested in them.

Another reason that some places put those signs out, is that they don't want to deal with the problems presented by foreigners. Sometimes its just language barriers, but many Americans (especially the military) and Australians in Japan like to cause trouble and are bothersome to such establishments, so they avoid dealing with the situations by disallowing them from entering.
Others
The video you were watching was either 20 years old or was meant to highlight the lingering Anti-American sentiment.

Its not like that anymore. Take it from me, I live in the most conservative city in Japan.
Kyoto, Japan
There aren't any places that say "Japanese only." I lived there for 3 years and didn't have any problems.

A foreigner in Japan will always be a foreigner. It is tourist friendly, though. English is written on signs in the big cities. The Japanese are very kind people and will be very friendly to foreigners. They'll be curious about your culture. I still have many Japanese friends.
Where do you see such video? I have lived in Japan for years and most of them were very friendly. Sure, there were some that were rude, but again, there are always rude peoples, no matter where you live. I think in the end, it depend on your attitude toward them. If you can build trust and rapport, and respect their culture, you will be just fine.
some of them are tourist friendly.
some of japan feel that they should only offer service to the pure japanese.
some ar elikethat but they are small inpopulation since a new generation is growing up.
I'm assuming the video that you watched is quite old as there is now anti-discrimination law in Japan. In recent years, a spa tried to do this and was taken to court by a foreigner, the foreigner won so I would not worry too much about it. You will find that the Japanese tend to be more curious than anything.
