Calling Australia from Japan? |
Travel Info I need an urgent response. I need to know how to call Australia from a landline phone in Japan (not a mobile) I am uncertain about the phone number code. Thanks Travel Tips This may help in the codes if you know the company the phone is on http://users.tpg.com.au/xkeith/phonejapa... Alternatively I would get a brastel card which is linked on this site. I used them in Japan they are easy to use, cheap and you get $5 for free when you first join. If you go to a convenience store you should be able to get one or something simillar. Then all you have to do is dial the access number on the card then enter +61 area code for Australia then area code minus the 0 e.g. 02 (for NSW) would be just 2 and then the actual number. The combini cards usually have English, sometimes you can get them from the little booths that look like a cash dispenser, most have an Englsih button on them. This will give you a receipt with a code on it. Hope this helps, good luck! Others 鈾ry dailing 010 61 plus the area code in Australia and the number you are trying to reach. (You didn't say WHERE in Australia, so I can't give you an area code.) If you want to check it, go here: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/di... http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/di... http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/di... http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/di... (Brisbane and Sydney as examples.) Hope this helps! Good luck!鈾?br /> 010 is the international prefix used to dial somewhere outside of Japan. 61 is the international code used to dial to Australia. since you are on a computer, try skype out.... it will save you a bundle Buy a brastel card from Lawsons or Family Mart. |
