Through Air Canada you're looking at more than a $2000 ticket right now. I'd suggest checking out your local "Flight Centre" as they normally have better deals.

If coming for a month I'd suggest looking into renting a room at either a gaijin house (around $400) or getting a furnished apartment for around $800. This way you can buy your own food and do some cooking to save on some cash. Otherwise you're looking at an average of $10 for lunch and $20 (or more) for dinner depending on where you go.

Then of course there's transportation, entertainment, alcohol, shopping and whatever else.

So I'd say it would be between $2500 - $5000 per person depending on how much you spend on airfare and lodging.
