Japanese Gift? |
Travel Info What would be a great but reasonably priced gift from Japan for my mother? I'm on holiday in Tokyo. Travel Tips There are so many traditional Japanese articles that would make great gifts. A beautiful kimono she could use as a summer robe, a fan, antique pottery, Japanese dolls, imari tea sets, beautiful embroidered textiles for table runners, doilies, etc., a beautiful bamboo umbrella with their famed beautifully produced rice paper, porcelain knick-knacks, etc. origami art work, jewelry . . . and the list goes on. I love shopping in Japan! Others How about a Geisha Doll Figurine. I used to have one, they're so pretty. something like a japanese porcelain figurine anything that is not really available in america. Give her a buddha statue prices around 30-80$ depending were u look for it. ugh your so lucky i wanna go to tokyo...get a pair of really nice chop stix...or japanes art...or like some of thier traditional clothing You can go to the Asakusa Buddhist Temple/Shrine and there are lots of vendors lining the hall, which have souveniers.
