From the UK to Japan by ship??? |
Travel Info Is it possible to get to Japan by ship from the UK. I'm not bothered if there are changes, or sleeping rough on a floor covered with fish guts, I just want to know have any of you travelled to Japan this way, or are you going to? Do you have any info? (if you don't, it's probably best you don't "answer this question") thanks in advance to those who will help. Travel Tips Many Japanese travel around the world including Europe by ship. It is a round-the-world voyage. So the answer would be yes. From Japan to Europe is about 45-60days. British ship QE2 also come to Japan every year. But airfare is more reasonable. Others Just fly. Sailing would be far more expensive and takes forever. Flying isn't that bad and you can get tranquilizers and stuff from your GP if it really is a problem. Think, if you sailed there and back, that's about 4 months which is madness! If you wanted to break it up, you can take a train to Russia, go on the trans-siberian railway and ship it from there to Japan. Many people try this option but of coarse it is up to you. p.s. I would love to do the same thing. |
