Travel Info I'm looking for an ESL Job in Japan. I've been teaching English for 4 years now and I want to teach in Japan. Travel Tips it depends what company you want to work for. If you want to be a JET, contact the Japanese embassy. If you want to work for a private company, just google it, there are heaps of different companies - the main ones are NOVA, AEON, GEOS, etc. It also depends if you want to teach children, adults or both as different companies have different students. For some companies, you can apply and start anytime, others you have to wait for the school year to start (or for someone to quit). Some companies will pay for your return airfares and accommodation, others will help to organize these but you pay and others will make you do everything yourself. Source(s): http://www.mustseesights.com Other Travel Tips Try asking that question at a university, perhaps your alma mater? My friend is teaching ESL in Korea and got her position through her university. Get a general # for the university and then ask for ESL. Good luck. If you have qualifications, you should be able to find a job with no problem. The only thing is that timing is everything. Depending on where you are looking for a job, they may need someone immediately as a replacement, or at the beginning of the school year (March or April). Try www.ohayosensei.com or www.gaijinpot.com If you have a university degree, then you can get a job. I taught there for 4 years and loved it!! www.gaijinpot.com www.eslcafe.com |
