Japanese Autographs? |
Travel Info In Japan when a baseball player (or any celebrity) signs an autograph, do they sign their name in English type script or Japanese (kanji type) calligraphy? Travel Tips Depends on who they are signing for and where they are. To answer your question in Japan famous people usually sign their name in Hiragana only very, I guess you could say, "sloppily" or "crazily" just like famous people in the US also kind of scribble their name to make it their own. Some people sign their name in Kanji but that is rare. Icharu was one that signed in Kanji, but I'm sure he signs in English now that he is in USA. Hopes this help! Source(s): Born/Raisd in Japan. Other Travel Tips most Japanese dont have a "signiture" they either just write their kanji or use their name stamp for official documents. If they do happen to sign in english letters, they just write it normal like they learnt at school, however people who have to do a lot of signing like famous people, usually make it a little wigglier like english writers do on their signitures, with lines and stuff through it. I know many people that sit and practice their "sign" for hours and hours, just to get it looking cool, although they never have a chance to use it. lol. live in japan, sign all the time Almost all the Japanese players and stars have their own autographs. Usually in Japanese, but not easy to read. The Japanese players in the MLB have either Japanese or English autographs. Here is Godzilla Matsui's autograph in Japan (but I don't wanna say this is Japanese. This is just an autograph.). http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k228/_... |
