Japan Baseball Tours? |
Travel Info I'm looking for a tour agent that specializes in baseball trips to Japan. Travel Tips The advice you've gotten is good. You dont need a tour agent. Just by a 2-week railpass, and visit several stadiums yourself. Here is where they play major league baseball; Hokkaido - Nippon Ham Fighters Sendai - Rakuten Eagles Tokyo - Yakult Swallows, Yomiuri Giants, Chiba - Chiba Lotte Marines Saitama - Seibu Lions Yokohama - Yokohama Baystars Nagoya - Chunichi Dragons Osaka/Kobe - Orix Buffaloes Amagasaki - Hanshin Tigers Hiroshima - Hiroshima Carp Fukuoka - Softbank Hawks The order is north to south, east to west. If you wanted to Im guessing you could probably take in about 7-8 games in about 2 weeks, as Japanese teams have 1-3 days off a week. Good Luck and enjoy the games... Others Usually, the Japanese are going to the US on "baseball trips" to watch the Majors. Mostly because a great deal of their best talent is migrating there. I don't think you are going to find many. I would suggest if you are going to Japan, and specifically Tokyo, take in any ballgame you can. Ask at the TIO (Tourist Information Office) noted in any Lonely Planet guide to Japan. You don't need a tour agent. If you go to Japan, you can just go to all the games yourself. www.japanesebaseball.com I don't know of any specific tours for baseball, but with three JPB teams in the Tokyo area it wouldn't be hard to take in some games. The best thing might be to go during the high-school tournament and then you can take in some of those games, as well as the pros. |
