I'm going to Tokyo on September but I don't know which place to visit to. I also love Japanese food like Okonomiyaki, Tacoyaki, omurice, etc. Could you guys tell me the best restaurant in Tokyo please? If possible, I want you guys to give me the address and the phone numbers of the place too. thanks alot for helping.

Hi, I'm not Japanese, but I've lived there last year. You have to go in the Shibuya district. It's the Time Square of Tokyo.

There is this strange restaurant called Alcatraz E.R. Shibuya medical prison. The food is amazing! The atmosphere is that of prison with giggly waitresses dressed as nurses. They are really funny people and make sure that customers have LOTS and LOTS of fun. You will be telling your friends about this place for years. Make sure to bring a camera. Sorry I don't have the phone number, but you will find it in many tourist info books. By the way, it's kind of hard to find places based on their addresses in Japan because there are no street signs anywhere. I suggest you print out what you want to see ahead to show the Japanese where you want to go. Oh... and Japanese people are really friendly and willing to help, but most don't speak English or are to shy to speak it. An English/Japanese dictionary never helped me, the best way is to get one of those picture dictionaries and always bring a pad and paper to draw what you want to say. Bring American money traveller's checks. I didn't and couldn't use my bank card anywhere else than the City bank ATM (hard to find) This was a serious inconvenience for the 2 months I had to work there.

.Tokyo is a very big place . Where are you planning to be?
You would find hundreds of restaurants in Tokyo.In every nook and corner you can eat in Tokyo.Leave the so called best restaurants that you find advertised in tourist pamphlets.
In general all food establishments are good in Japan.
So do not worry just come and enjoy .
