Is Japan always cloudy?

Every time I gaze at Japanese screen shots its as if, like, the sky is always gray and the sun is nonexistent. I know it has to come out every now and then but how often?

No, it isn't. There are many beautiful spring and autumn and winter days.

However, June and July is rainy season. Only during those two months is it cloudy and rainy everyday.

One thing about Japanese weather forecasts are that they're very accurate. Just go there and watch the news, then pull out your camera when they say it'll be sunny, because it WILL be sunny.
Tokyo is often cloudy. It is said because the climate, geography(flat place), tons of cars, and heat island phenomenon.
However, if you traveled country side or southern island, you will see beautiful sky.

Absolutely NOT. There are sunny gorgeous days galore w blue sky. Every season has beautiful days!
I live in China now, and here the opposite seems to be true. The air pollution is horrid. . .very few blue sky days. So you are talking to a person who notices the difference on a daily basis.
