Travel Info Are there a lot of ranches in Japan? If so, do you know what part? Travel Tips It depends what you call "a lot". Seeing that you're using English, I assume you're from an English-speaking country. In that case, the ranches in Japan are much smaller and much fewer. Yes, a few in Hokkaido. No, Japan isn't all city, but there are a lot of mountains. So, for the most part you're either looking at built-up urban areas or mountains. Of course you can find many farms, but not on the scale of "ranches". Everything is in Japan though, so whatever your stereotypical view of a ranch is, you should be able to find it, along with cowboys. Seriously. EVERYthing is in Japan. Just think of about 150,000,000 people who are all obsessed with something or other. Chances are there are more than enough who know so much about ranching they will utterly blow you away. Others There is not enough land for the number of people in Japan to have ranches, they are lucky if they can afford a 500 sq ft apt.................Nuf Said In Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, there are some ranches. Koiwai, of course!Great place, loved it! http://www.koiwai.co.jp/english/guide/ka... Also you can go to working holiday in Toono, take care of horses and other animals and stay there for a month, lets say. http://www.tonotv.com/members/kankoukyou... There're also Awajishima pasture and the farm England hill http://www.hyogo-tourism.jp/english/s_aw... |
