What's Your favourite thing about Tokyo?

Travel Info
Just returned from 2 weeks in Tokyo and loved it. One of my favourite things was the Karaoke bars on every corner and the friendliness of the people?

What did/do you liek about Tokyo or Japan?

Travel Tips
the politeness of the people, the cleanliness of the streets, the sakura of course!! =] im going there during easter heh

Others
I liked the availability of many vending machines when i went to Tokyo.
Also, their clothes are very beautiful, and their japanese food are always very delicious.
convenience stores (conbi-)! cuz they have everything and anything! and they're everywhere! u'll nv go hungry!
also catcha capsule machines!
also the train chimes of both subways and JR and shinkansen stations and the chime of traffic lights!
food and its people, and of course the shopping centers love it!!!
As echoed by others, I loved Japan for the friendliness of the people, delicious food (amazing sushi/sashimi---go Tsukiji fish markets or just regular izakayas), scenery, shinkansen--efficiency of transportation there rocks (I was there for 10 days traversing as far north to Morioka to as far south as Hiroshima during the holidays), the holiday cakes and holiday lights in Japan (were beautiful especially Kobe, Tokyo---Roppongi Hills, Osaka etc), Himeji Palace, Yokohama---Chinatown list coud go on. I did get to karaoke and that was tons of fun! I met many cool people and practiced my college learned Japanese which was very helpful.
I enjoy the people and the atmosphere. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world.
Definitely my favorite thing about Tokyo...the people. My neighbors are fantastic (we live in a Western house plonked down on an otherwise all Japanese block). They go all out to make us feel part of the block and include us in all celebrations at our local shrine (we live 30 seconds walk from the Meiji Jingu shrine).

Another thing that will make me sad to move on from Tokyo - the service! From the convenience store clerk to the FedEx guy to the waiters...people take pride in what they do and they strive to make it perfect for you. All without expecting a tip - LOL.

The safety of Tokyo is so reassuring - I can walk on any street at any hour and feel safe.

I could go on and on...
