How can i get a job doing anime in japan ?? |
Travel Info i draw anime very well but i need to make arrangments now to find some kind of anime company in japan that will take me on if any one has any contacts please send them to me Travel Tips you would never make it. Others Seth T a *****/asswhole.....and gooogozoo is a bigger ***** for every one else that gave me good advice thank you very much i will not give up my goal and i will try some of the things you told me You should enter Manga contests, if you win then you really can do it! It's great exposure and the manga artists would be interested in you. Then you can work your way into the moving animation. I hate to break it to you bluntly, but unless you are ethnic Japanese and you grew up in Japan, it's pretty much impossible to get a job drawing manga/anime in Japan. There are enough talented native Japanese who have great art skills, are willing to work long hours, and fit the Japanese cultural mold that they would never have any need to hire a gaijin, especially someone who's an unknown. If your art really is professional quality, start creating your own stories and drawing your own manga. You might able to attract the interest of a U.S. based company like Tokyopop, who have sponsored and published a number of works by up-and-coming artists in their "Rising Stars of Manga" anthology. You can also try to make your own amateur series and sell them at conventions. There is one called Comic Market that is held twice a year at the Tokyo Big Sight convention centre in Odaiba, Tokyo. It would be very hard to get a job like that in Japan if you aren't Japanese, but not hopeless. However, It might be a better use of your time to look for a job drawing anime in America. You are much more likely to get a job here. And the best way to get a job drawing anime is to keep drawing and trying to get noticed. put your art on your website, make your own series to put on your website(get a website if you don't have one, and devote it completely to your art), enter contests for rising young manga artists and such, etc. |
