How much can you save flying on standby?

Travel Tips
NOt enough to be worth the hassle!!! Unless you like sitting at the airport for hours/days?

You can't fly standby unless you have purchased an airline ticket and are trying to get on an earlier/later flight the same day of travel. That being the case, you can save at least up to $100 for the penalty, plus whatever the fare difference may or may not be.
If you know an employee they can usually get you a free standby ticket (Iam not sure if they can anymore), but I wouldn't recomend this but anyway Midwest Airlines has a $25 standby ticket thing but it is non-refundable so if you don't get on a flight then that is too bad, I am not sure about the other airlines.
