I suggest you move to a big city and get some friends. Others I know--my husband is driving home from work in it. :-/ At least we get to see SOME snow this winter!! :-) We're right in the line of the sleet and then a large hunk of snow. We can't wait until it snows though--we're taking our 15 month old son out and having fun! not me Here's the alert: "WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO MIDNIGHT CST SUNDAY NIGHT... ANOTHER ROUND OF SLEET...POSSIBLY MIXING WITH SNOW...WILL BE MOVING INTO EASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI BY LATE MORNING. THIS PRECIPITATION WILL QUICKLY SPREAD TO THE EAST THIS AFTERNOON. SLEET AND SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF AN INCH OR TWO WILL BE POSSIBLE BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION ENDS TONIGHT. ON SUNDAY...ANOTHER ROUND OF PRECIPITATION WILL BE MOVING IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST BY LATE MORNING. THIS PRECIPITATION MAY BEGIN AS SLEET THEN CHANGE OVER TO SNOW. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION EXITS THE REGION SUNDAY NIGHT. I'm from Olathe, KS which is the next city south of Overland Park. That sucks that the storm has hit though! Another round coming through about 3-5 pm witchita is getting some moderate snow. |
