Travel Info What is there to do for enjoyment in Kansas City, MO on the weekends? Travel Tips Tons of stuff actually. I lived there for 10 years from 1993. I could never really get over the abundance of food and drink choices in KC. My personal favorites - especially on Friday nights - hang out at Jazz on 39th and State Line on the MO side - awesome Cajun food, live band, good looking waitresses and some wild girls from all over. The Plaza is a great place to walk around and do some shopping. If you're more of the outdoor kind of person, check out the canoes and tha kayaks by the Blue River. The river has a tendency to swell by Red Bridge off of Holmes, and that makes for some nice canoeing. I've done the drive/ride up to the Ozarks (about 3 hours) for more open spaces. The KC Zoo is a great hangout for kids. There's a few awesome entertainment theme parks for Spring and Summer. Can think of a lot more - let me know what you're looking for! Others work at a bar as a bar back Hang out at Westport or one of the nicer malls like Independence Center or the Oak Park mall. |
