The best camping trip I had when I lived in Missouri, was traveling south down into Arkansas. We went down Hwy 125 to lead hill, and camped there for the night. That night we picked our next stop, and drove all day down Senic Hwy 8. We would setup camp at around 5pm and cook dinner over a campfire. The best place on the trip was Devil's pool. It was out in the middle of nowhere. The camp site was right next to the river, and there was a great place to go swimming. My oldest son was 2 at the time, and he kept trying to sound like the wolves in the hills a few miles away. |
