Considering a move to Kansas City, MO. Can anyone help on some info please? |
Travel Info My husband and I are intersested in Pre-schools, job opportunity, housing(preferably a house not an apartment but apartment info is fine also. Townhouses too.) , Things to do.. I already know where to eat so, there isn't any need for info about food. I have visited KC but it's been a while. Years.. Just to visit family. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you! Travel Tips I would suggest living in Blue Springs or Grain Valley...they are about 25 miles east of Kansas City....Both cities are adding more housing (both single family and multi-family) There are a bunch of townhouses going up in Blue Springs that look pretty nice and are located off of Adams Dairy Parkway. If you are looking for new houses, they are putting in new subdivisions just south of Blue Springs on 7 Hwy. The same with Grain Valley...lots of new stuff. If you need help with anything, you can e-mail me. My family owns Blue Springs Realty and we will be happy to show you any houses. Hope this helps...... Others i live in olathe, kansas (by kansas city, kansas and i always have somthing to do my parents are getting a divorce so we are selling our house if you are interested in looking there are great shools and great jobs my mom owns a shopping mall called the ledgends and they are always looking for new workers i hope i was helpful in you search Ocean's of Fun should not be missed, it's a blast! I know you said no food but it's going to bother me if I don't mention ONE place! Antonio's Pizza. It's downtown Kansas City @ 1100 Main Street. If you don't know about it you would DEFINITELY be missing out. Just thinking about it makes me want to make a 5 hour road trip. Jobs are plentiful there as well. The new Royal's stadium is pretty impressive also. I WISH I lived there! Lee's Summit is a great community and has great schools. So does Blue Springs. It just depends on what part of the city you want to live in. Stay away from the Kansas City School districts. Especially MO, it has been plagued the last few years with tons of issues. My husband I live in lee's summit and think it is a great community. If you are wanting to rent, we used to rent a town house just off of Woods Chapel and 291 Hwy. It was really nice. There are also townhouses and houses all over town and tons of new development if you want to buy a house. I hope you enjoy living here. If you have a pretty large budget and are looking for a nice home around KC, Olathe has a bunch of new housing developments popping up everywhere. You literally can't drive anywhere without seeing new homes and communities being built. As for things to do, the one sure thing you'll have going for you if you move to this area, is the sports fanaticism. Chiefs games, KU games, even the Royals (which have dirt cheap tickets)...it's all almost everyone's favorite past-time. |
